What Blooms in September?

Want a garden full of colour in September? Consider adding these plants!

1. Japanese anemone (Anemone hupehensis) - these unique blooms appear in late summer/early fall and make a great addition to your garden if you’re looking for some fall colour!

2. Russian sage (Perovskia atriplicifolia) - very drought tolerant blooms that last well throughout the summer and into the fall

3. Hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus) - with the almost tropical look of these blooms, they add great diversity to your space! They are available in tons of colours and varieties!

4. Daphne (Daphne x transatlantica ‘Eternal Fragrance’) - as the name indicates, these smell amazing. And as the name also indicates, they have blooms throughout most of the year. They are an evergreen plant and need well drained soil!

5. Fountaingrass (Pennisetum alopecuroides) - maybe it seems like a bit of stretch to put this in the blooms category, but botanically speaking, they actually are!
